Position Overview:
As a Trusts & Estates Attorney with our firm, you will work closely with clients to assist with their trust & estate planning needs. This will involve analyzing clients financial and tax matters, drafting legal documents, filing the appropriate tax returns, and making sure that clients wishes are respected and fulfilled.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze, assess, and advise clients on trust, estate, tax, and probate matters.
Draft estate documents, such as wills, revocable trusts, and powers of attorney.
File all necessary state and federal tax returns, including estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and trust income tax returns.
Provide support to clients regarding estate planning, trust administration, probate, and tax issues.
Demonstrate strong client service skills and the ability to assist clients during difficult transitions.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor degree
License to practice law in FL
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in trusts and estates law
Taxation LL.M. or equivalent experience in a taxation field is a plus
Excellent estate and trust planning, tax research, legal document drafting, and client communication skills
Experience in filing estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and trust income tax returns
An understanding and knowledge of estate planning fundamentals and approaches
