Construction Superintendent - Treatment Plants

Position Overview
The Construction Superintendent for Treatment Plants will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects related to water and wastewater treatment facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring that all operations comply with environmental regulations, safety protocols, and project specifications while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the construction team on-site, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all team members.
  • Oversee daily operations of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety protocols throughout the construction process.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality standards are met and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Manage project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and regulatory compliance paperwork.
  • Facilitate training and development of team members on best practices in construction and safety.
  • Implement process control measures to optimize construction operations and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management, particularly in heavy civil or treatment plant projects.
  • Strong knowledge of plant operations and maintenance management.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety protocols relevant to construction and treatment facilities.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Experience in project management and subcontractor management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of water quality testing and regulatory compliance requirements.
