Job Title: Structures Representative - Construction Management
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Work Environment: Onsite
A leading construction management firm is seeking a Structures Representative - Construction Management to support high-impact infrastructure projects in the Los Angeles area. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex public works initiatives while working closely with multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
At least 5 years of experience as a Structures Representative on California highway or transportation projects.
Caltrans project experience is required.
Strong background in structural inspection and construction management for public infrastructure, including bridges, ramps, retaining walls, and soundwalls.
Proven ability to manage structural construction phases from planning through close-out.
Experience with bridge hinge reconstruction, full freeway closures, and environmental mitigation practices (e.g., nesting bat and bird protections).
Familiarity with temporary structures such as formwork and falsework.
Knowledge of various foundation systems (CIDH piles, spread footings, grade beams).
Experience with drainage systems, electrical and communications installations, and temporary traffic control.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Experience working on City of Los Angeles infrastructure projects.
Oversee and coordinate structural inspections and contract administration on transportation projects.
Manage planning, scheduling, and quality assurance of substructure and superstructure work.
Interface with contractors, inspectors, surveyors, and testing teams.
Maintain accurate daily records and generate progress, safety, and budget reports.
Review and/or prepare calculations for structural work including temporary supports and demolition planning.
Collaborate with stakeholders and agencies to ensure project milestones are met.
