Job Title: Staff Auditor
Job Location: Schaumburg, IL (on site)
Salary: $60K-$80K+/year
Requirements: CPA, Audit, Accounting
- Perform detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances; prepares and adjusts workpapers from clients trial balance
- Prepare workpapers and all necessary financial statements, related disclosures and reportable conditions letters with an eye on quality, thoroughness, accuracy and timeliness
- Research accounting issues
- Recognize potential problem areas in specific engagement sand discusses them with engagement supervisor
- Participate in the engagement planning process
- Perform other accounting, auditing, consulting and tax duties as needed in engagements as needed
- Assist with more complicated segments of audit and accounting engagements
- Evaluate client internal controls and recommendations for improvement
- Prepare financial statements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting required; MSA or MST a plus with a CPA License or currently pursuing CPA
- Ability to perform paperless audits, with ProSystem fx Engagement
- 1+ years of staff audit experience in public accounting and assisting in performing audit and review fieldwork
- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
- Experience with manufacturing, employee benefits plans and non-profits a plus
