Title: Industrial Electrician - Night Shift - Paving Stone & Retaining Wall Manufacturer
Location: Aurora, IL, 60505
Hourly: $30 - $35 / Hour + Overtime + $1,500 Sign On Bonus
Working Hours: 6pm-6am Mon-Fri (10 hour shifts anywhere within that time)
Founded in the 1972 we are a 1,000 employee manufacturer of paving stones & retaining walls for customers across North America. For our facility in Aurora we have 150 employees and roughly 90 of those are on the production floor (Maintenance department has 12 total). We've grown by 12% over the past 2 years as we continue to invest in new technologies & gain market share in the space. This night shift position has flexibility on start time and the ideal person will be a strong industrial electrician with exposure to machinery, PLCs and knowledge of 480V.
What You Will Be Doing
-Lockout Tag-Out (LOTO) on all work performed
- Ensure operation of electrical systems & equipment by completing preventive maintenance on plant equipment, programmable controllers, transformers, voltage regulators & machinery wiring by following electrical code, manuals, schematic drawings etc
- Install new equipment to manufacturer specifications (installing power supply wiring & conduit)
- Repair electrical systems & equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus i.e. transformers, motors & lighting fixtures, determining faulty wiring, inspecting & testing malfunctioning machinery
- Program automated machinery by operating, testing for malfunctions & verifying repairs
- Work w/ vendors & other outside contracts to gather info to maintain & repair equipment
- Assist to maintain electrical spare parts inventory levels
