Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join our team on a Partner Track or on the Partner Level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide personalized legal solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
Handling Gift Tax and Estate Tax
Advise clients on estate planning strategies to achieve their goals and minimize tax liabilities.
Handle probate and trust administration matters, including filing necessary court documents and representing clients in probate court.
Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in estate planning laws and regulations.
Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans.
Provide guidance on charitable giving, asset protection, and business succession planning.
Assist clients with guardianship and conservatorship matters.
Participate in firm marketing and business development activities to attract new clients.
1,700 Annual Billable Hours
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Must Understand Gift Tax and Estate Tax
Experience working with High-Net-Worth Individuals
Active license to practice law in Missouri.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
Strong knowledge of federal and state estate tax laws.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in legal research and drafting software.
