Position Overview

We are seeking a Civil Defense Attorney with a minimum of two years of experience in Civil Litigation or Commercial Litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, case preparation, and courtroom advocacy. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-stakes cases, collaborate with seasoned attorneys, and develop expertise in civil defense strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including trials, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on litigation risks and defense strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Manage case files, deadlines, and client communications effectively.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Maryland.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Civil Litigation or Commercial Litigation.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
