Job Title: Audit Manger
Location: San Diego - Remote
Salary: $105k-$150k + Annual Bonuses + Full Benefits
Requirements: +5 years in a Public Accounting Firm in Government and Schools
We are seeking an Audit Manager with a background in government accounting to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience auditing schools, LEA, and other entities in the public sector, with knowledge of private schools and universities being a plus.
Position Overview:
The Audit Manager Gov't will oversee and manage all public sector audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The position will require significant travel between client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and direct the planning, execution, and closing of public sector audits.
Review and analyze financial statements, reports, and other records.
Ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements.
Work with clients regarding audit findings and potential solutions.
Prepare audit reports and presentations.
Manage audit staff and ensure work is completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
5+ years of relevant experience auditing public sector companies and entities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to travel as needed.
